Extra-Curricular Activities

Spanish Class

Children enrolled in a Primary Class will have Spanish class twice a week.  Children enrolled in a Transitional Class will have Spanish Class once a week. Your child will be introduced to conversational Spanish while practicing the alphabet, learning how to count, and singing songs. Spanish is included in your monthly tuition.

Music Class

Our music teacher will take small groups of children to the music classroom to practice a variety of songs.  The children will also be introduced to instruments and to dance. Music is included in your monthly tuition. Parents will be invited to enjoy performances of our children’s music and dancing each winter. Each spring, our graduating children also put on a wonderful performance for parents and families.

Basketball

Basketball Basics is centered around the fundamentals of the game such as dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, and rebounding. Lessons are carefully designed to introduce correct technique and instruction at the appropriate age and physical maturity of the child. Students are exposed to these fundamentals on a weekly basis through drills, games and exercises. Basketball tuition is paid directly to Basketball Basics.

Dance

Dance on Tour provides a weekly class on creative movement, gymnastics, ballet, tap and jazz dance. Ms. Mimmie offers a fun way to get up and move your body! Boys and girls ages 2 1/2 and up are welcome. Dance tuition is paid directly to Ms. Mimmie.

Soccer & Other field activities

We work with various recreational companies. We wish to use exciting and interesting group sports as their recreational method of activity and competition, which helps children to positively mold their own individual character and their especially unique attitudes, as they are students who are taught in a school environment of Montessori. These elements of teamwork and sharing, as well as communication work to really respect our individual, special difference—all while having fun playing, like a game of soccer! This tuition is paid directly to Soccer Shots.

piano

Piano Lessons with MCH’s very own Ms. Dina are offered to students over 4 years of age. These lessons are individual and scheduled weekly. Piano tuition is paid directly to Ms. Dina.
